Did you know that heart disease is the #1 killer of women and kills ten times more women than breast cancer? In an effort to increase awareness of heart disease in women, the local chapter of the American Heart Association and The Cardiac Center of Creighton University Medical Center have planned an Omaha area "Girls' Night Out" on Thursday, February 1st, 2007. Participating restaurants will donate a portion of the evening's proceeds to the American Heart Association in Omaha. Funds collected will help further research to reduce the prevalence of heart disease in women.
